Hotel Residences Interior

Taking inspiration from private residences offered by Aman, Mandarin Oriental and other ultra-luxury hotel operators, this ambitious project aims to combine the amenity and service of a hotel with the comforts of a private residence.

Situated in a bustling city, one of the key objectives of the concept was to create a sanctuary. Soft oak frames functional “Shoji” screens evoke a temple-like feel when closed. The opacity of the screens allow light to flow between the bedroom and bathroom, while still maintaining privacy. Upon opening, the screens allow light to penetrate into a resort-style bathroom; with the round hot tub accessible directly from the bedroom.

Aimed at guests and residents who often travel, the interiors create a sense of place and comfort. The materiality takes cues from the location. Monumental sandstone and marble are softened by warm timbers. The materials are robust and easy to maintain to ensure the residences could be used for guests and travellers.

The design conveys a lived-in luxury; a home base for family, travellers and locals.
